Meet the Pastor
Rev. Glen W. Dameron was an elder in the Baltimore-Washington Conference of the United Methodist Church.
Born in Washington DC, he grew up in suburban Maryland and is a graduate of the University of Maryland and Wesley
Theological Seminary.
After serving small, medium, and large churches beginning in 1978, he retired in 2013,
and he and his wife Lisa moved from the DC area to Myrtle Beach. Not ready to fully retire, Glen requested an
appointment in the South Carolina Conference and was appointed to a part-time position as the pastor of Camp Swamp UMC
in Loris, where he served until June 2021.
Glen and Lisa have been married for 42 years and they have one daughter, a son-in-law, and three
granddaughters who still live in Maryland. Lisa flunked retirement and still works full time in a law office that does
real estate settlements.
In his free time. Glen enjoys reading, watching old movies on Turner Classic Movies,
playing golf, working out, and being "Daddy" to their three "children with paws" (Dogs)
Glen's favorite Bible verse is John 10:10b where Jesus says, " I came that they may have life and have it abundantly." Please visit us for worship on Sunday mornings as we explore that abundant life together.
God bless!
We are
blessed to have Lisa and
Glen ministering to
us.
