The PURPOSE of United
Women in Faith
Mission statement of United
Women in Faith.
United
Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and
to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative,
supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation
in the global ministries of the church.
Out of the Purpose are four mission
foci that relate to the mission initiatives and priorities of United Women in Faith.

Mission Initiatives
The entire program and organization
of United Women in Faith focuses on mission. Our mission initiatives include:

Providing opportunities to grow spiritually
·
Equipping women & girls to be leaders
·
Providing transformative educational experiences
and
literacy programs
·
Organizing for growth & flexibility
·
Working for justice through service &
advocacy and
caring for the least of these
United Women in FAith has focused on ministries with women, children, and
youth.
At Ebenezer our UWF have participated in with the following:
·
Buck Creek Baptist
Church’s Store house donating,
serving and distributiong food and Buck Creek’s
Thriftstore collecting cothing
and household articles and distributing them. This is our weekly mission.
·
Family
Justice Center
for provides supportive services for
victims of domestic violence. We collected used shoes, flipflops, etc for their recycling project
·
Contributed to UMCOR (United Methodist Committee
on relief) which supports global health programs 300 UM hospitals and clinics
worldwide and helps with our national disasters’ reflief.
Collected cleaning supplies for flood relief.

Packed homeless sanitary kits which were
distributed locally.
·
For 2019 we plan as a new mission to help Sea
Haven Emergency Crisis Service for Youth ages 13-21 ,and
continue to support the Family
Justice Center
new building project.
